Getting Feedback

Student Feedback

The Academic Affairs office administers mid-term and end of term student feedback. Please give students 15 minutes during class to complete evaluations (ideally the last class session, but not the last 15 minutes).

Reviewing mid-term feedback from students can be a helpful tool, but it may also offer conflicting or confusing feedback. In order to make mid-term feedback purposeful, after you review the feedback, share what you learned with the class. Let the students know any actions you are going to take or want them to take going forward (see sample slide).

Additionally, if you didn't get enough information or would like to learn more about student responses, an associate from the CTL can help you review your feedback or do a 15 minute focus group with your class to provide you with high level takeaways and potential action items.
